Certifications: There are many Safety certifications such as ETL, CE, UL, and ISO-9001. Depending on where you live your building inspector may require your steam shower to have certain certifications. ETL certification however is universally accepted in the United States and Canada. It is important to check with your building inspector before purchasing a steam shower that isn't ETL certified; this can save you from having to return the shower which can be expensive and hold up construction.
Three-hole faucets come in many different styles and need three separate holes: one of each handle, the hot and the cold, and one for the spout. The tree pieces are not connected and can be mounted as far as 16 inches apart. When purchasing a three-hole be sure to measure the spread requirement, i.e. the distance between the openings to make sure the faucet will fit.
Waterfall shower heads have a unique shape, the head is usually shaped like a cylinder or long rectangle. Some just screw onto the existing base. These have a T-like shape. Some are installed directly in the shower stall wall via a console like fixture, or are just simply cut out and lined with a plate fixture.
